After introducing their new 200GB microSD card back in March, flash memory storage developer Sandisk has announced that their 200GB fingernail sized memory storage product is now available on store shelves.
Sandisk named this new micro SD as Ultra microSDXC UHS-I. Even though the size of the storage is considerably small, Sandisk claimed that the card can transfer files for up to 90MB per second. This speed is twice as fast as the 128GB size micro SD card, considering that the storage capacity is smaller.
With its speed, Sandisk states that the Ultra microSDXC UHS-I only need one minute to copy or transfer 1.200 image files. Its feats doesn’t end there, this micro SD is also claimed to be water proof, shock proof, magnet proof, X-Ray prof, and temperature proof.
However, the price tag for this product is notably expensive. Sandisk, offered the Ultra microSDXC UHS-I for a price of $240, making it as currently the most expensive micro SD card on the market.
To compare with Sandisk’s other products, the same type of micro SD card with a capacity of 128GB is worth $79. By purchasing two 128GB micro SD card, consumer can get a combined 256GB sized microSD cards, with a price that is $82 cheaper than the microSDXC UHS-I.
