Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall may have played the best of friends on HBO’s hit series Sex and The City. However, in reality that couldn’t be further from the truth. The two woman appear to be bitter enemies and the bad blood between them eventually got so bad that they can no longer work together. Of course, when SJP and the rest of the Sex and The City cast reunited for the sequel series, And Just Like That, Cattrall wasn’t invited to be part of the show.
Over the years, Sarah Jessica Parker’s feud with Kim Cattrall has been a brutal one. There have been rumors flying, as well as hurtful comments slung about in the media. However, although it’s been several years since the women worked together or had any contact, the feud continues on.
In the November 18 edition of Globe Magazine, sources reveal that Parker and Cattrall continue to make things awkward for their mutual friends. Things are so bad between the duo that even New York City isn’t big enough for the two of them.

“The bad blood’s still very much a thing for these two, and that’s a struggle for their friends who feel they’re being forced to choose sides,” an insider dished. “There’s quite a social overlap and people just wish they’d get over it because it makes for some awkward party planning.
Even after all this time, Kim and Sarah still bicker about each other and it’s getting to sound like a broken record. The feeling is they’re two very strong, opinionated women who should embrace rather than push each other away.”
In the past, the actresses’ issues have included discrepancies in their salaries, producer credits on the show, and Cattrall’s refusal to appear in a third Sex and The City movie. While Parker won’t publicly acknowledge a feud, Cattrall is a different story. She’s never been shy about sharing her thoughts about the issue.
While Kim wasn’t asked to be part of And Just Like That, she did make a cameo on the show. During Season 2, Cattrall reprised the role of Samantha Jones for a phone conversation between her character and Sarah’s beloved character, Carrie Bradshaw. However, the two women didn’t work together in the scene.
For her part, Cattrall is said to be happily living in Canada. However, she does still travel to New York, where she does her best to avoid Parker. Things have gotten so bad between the two that they won’t even appear at the same event. There are even rumors that they may call ahead to ensure the other won’t be there.
Sadly, it seems that the Sex and The City era is over. It’s unlikely that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall will be willing to work together in the future. It’s a loss for fans of the franchise, who would love to see all of the women back together again. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be in the cards.
