Savannah Chrisley took to social media to share a “devastating” update about her dad. Apparently, Todd Chrisley had something awful happen to him in prison and Savannah is asking for prayers for her father at this time. After learning what actually happened, fans have slammed Savannah for sharing “clickbait” about her family.
Todd Chrisley Reportedly Being Harrassed Daily
Since Todd Chrisley reported for his prison sentence in 2023, the family and his attorney have shared stories about how he is being wildly mistreated behind bars. In the latest update from Todd’s lawyer, Jay Surgent, he said that prison guards came into the Chrisley Knows Best star‘s cell and ripped a MAGA sticker off his chair.
According to Surgent, Todd stayed silent while the guard did this because he didn’t want any further retaliation. The former reality star believes that the guards are after him because he has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump.
Todd Chrisley also claims that his cell is being “shaken down” on a daily basis. At one point, he alleges that a guard poured Pepsi all over his bed. His lawyer believes that this is because Todd has been outspoken about the prison conditions. Now, the Federal Prison Camp where he is located in Pensacola is scheduled to close later this year.
Savannah Chrisley Shares ‘Pathetic Clickbait’ Post
TMZ reported on the latest slight Todd Chrisley experienced at the hands of the guards at FPC Pensacola. However, his daughter Savannah also shared the news with fans in a clickbait-y post on social media. Fans weren’t impressed.
On Reddit, one person shared a screenshot of Savannah’s post, which read, “I am DEVASTATED to confirm something AWFUL happened to my dad in prison. Please pray for him.” She went on to say that there was more information via a link to an article.
The original poster called the post “pathetic clickbait.” They wrote, “Jesus Christ she is insufferable right along with her fans who still think Todd and Julie are innocent.”
Others agreed. One Reddit user commented, “Really? Something awful? His sticker was removed from a chair? Tragic…” Another laughed, calling Savannah Chrisley a clown. A third quipped, “Yawn, let me know when he’s shanked.”
Several people thought the entire story was just a ploy to get the attention of Donald Trump. Since Trump’s inauguration in January, Savannah has been pleading for Trump to pardon her parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley. “Trying so hard to get noticed by Trump when he’s clearly not going to pardon them,” one Reddit user commented. A second person agreed, “I don’t buy this MAGA sticker nonsense ever happened. It’s a ploy to get Trump’s attention.. Then somehow TMZ gets the story.”
At this point, Donald Trump has not mentioned anything about pardoning the Chrisleys. In 2022, Julie and Todd Chrisley were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion. Todd was sentenced to 12 years, while Julie received 7 years for her role in the crimes. Julie will be released in 2028, while Todd will remain behind bars until 2032.
