A viral Instagram video, taken by the homeowner, captured the moment. Reassuring the numerous people who rushed into the house, the man behind the camera said, “No, this is my house. You guys are fine,” offering them safer spots to take cover. When everyone was inside, he asked what was going on and where the gunshots were coming from.
Another gunshot was heard outside while they were in the house. Standing by the window, someone could be seen running past to take cover. After a couple of moments, the clip showed that the authorities had arrived and were treating people who were injured. The man panned the camera around, showing the ruckus that was left behind as people rushed for shelter and many people being reunited with their loved ones.
As reported by News Channel 9, the shooting occurred during the Bite of Seattle festival at the Seattle Center, and it left three people dead and at least four others injured, including a 2-year-old. Although no official arrest has been made, the Police Department confirmed that a 15-year-old is being detained in relation to the shooting.
