Today Sega and the official Sonic the Hedgehog channel posted a video announcing new Lego Sonic the Hedgehog sets. This trailer seems to show off a few new iconic Sonic locations, some interesting designs, and teasers for more plans in the future. Additionally, the video keeps that iconic Sonic charm and humor that fans of the series have grown to love.
4 New Sonic The Hedgehog Lego Sets
The new Lego set locations for Sonic the Hedgehog include a DJ stand, Tails’ workshop, and various locations from the iconic Green Hill Zone. On top of this, Tail’s iconic Tornado Plane is also available for players to build as well. Fans can also construct Amy Rose’s Animal Rescue Island as well, which comes complete with a beach and interesting water effects.
The new sets also include three Lego Mini-figures from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise as well. Of course, Sonic will be available with the sets, alongside a chili dog. Next, both Amy Rose and Tails are shown with their respective sets as well. Amy Rose comes equipped with her hammer, while Tails seems to be holding a standard wrench.
Sonic Lego Sets Are Action-Packed And Hands-On
The Sonic the Hedgehog Lego sets also come with Speed Sphere that can help simulate Sonic’s high speeds from the games. By slamming a button, fans can launch Sonic at high speeds, sending him around loops and jumping through rings. While this may be a bit hard to actually pull off in practice, it looks like a fun way to add some interactivity to the sets. Finally, the end of the trailer teases the appearance of Dr. Eggman, who may make another appearance in this new round of Sonic Lego sets.
Currently, 4 new Sonic the Hedgehog Lego sets should be released throughout 2023. So far, Sega and Lego have not set a price point on this product. However, fans will have their answers when the Sonic the Hedgehog accounts release more information.
