Selena Gomez mostly has fans on board when it comes to boyfriend Benny Blanco, but it looks like a few Instagram users are still sitting in the trolling house. The singer, 31, is still going steady with her producer and songwriter beau, with fans largely loving seeing Selena looking so happy.
In March, an Instagram feed that documents Selena’s photos shared a pool shot of Selena, sneaking another in as they featured the actress’ 36-year-old boyfriend. While some gushed over the “Love On” hitmaker’s romance with Benny, others mocked his appearance, and by virtue of the relationship, kinda slammed Selena. Benny, who is fast-rising, even has ties to Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The two collaborated on the Canadian singer’s “Lonely” track.

The collage showed Selena at the edge of the pool as she rocked a brown bathing suit. Smiling, the pop singer showed hints of her curves as she grinned while turning her gaze behind her.
Meanwhile, a photo up top showed Benny sending the camera a massive grin as he posed at the edge of a bubbling hot tub. The fan was so dedicated, they’d collated a series of snaps of Selena and Benny in similar settings. Attempting to prove that they’re two peas in a pod, the user wrote: “Selena and Benny in similar style,” adding: “Cutest couple ever.”
Winds Up Likened To ‘Shrek’
Over 150 fans have now liked a comment referencing movie Shrek.
“Selena & Benny ❌ , Shrek & Fiona ✅,” the user wrote. Quick to fire back, another said: “Hater.”
Others also made movie references. “Benny look like Sid in Ice Age movie,” a separate comment read. “Beauty and the Beast” was yet another remark.
Fortunately, others came in to send love, with one noting that Benny is making the Only Murders in the Building star “happy.” Selena confirmed her relationship with Benny in December 2023. The couple has since made headlines for seeing Benny open up about wanting kids with Selena, and he even makes her steak when he wants a little action.
In May, Selena shocked fans with the reveal that she’d planned to adopt a baby if she was still single by the age of 35.
“A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it,” she revealed “Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.” Hinting at Benny, the A-lister continued: “It just happens when you least expect it.”
