Selena looked happy and appeared to be having fun with her co-star and friends. However, fans immediately began to share their thoughts on Gomez’s dancing so closely with another man amid her relationship with Benny Blanco.
After seeing the online hate, Gomez decided to speak out. She then shared another video defending her actions. In the second video, the singer is seen at a different event with Ramirez. In the clip, She stands behind her co-star at a different event. She rubs her hands over his shoulders and dances behind him as she nods his head. “OMG How dare I dance with my bestie,” Gomez captioned the post.
However, even after defending herself, fans still weren’t convinced that her antics were disrespectful to her relationship with Blanco.
“They aren’t married. If I were Benny, this would be a red flag. Not very respectful to have your costar dancing with you so intimately (& then posting it on social media for the world to see),” one person commented.
