Gio Helou and Tiffany are making lemonade from life’s lemons amid their devastating pregnancy loss. The Selling the OC star’s wife shared a vulnerable but grateful part of themselves on social media after losing what should have been their second baby.
Gio and Tiffany’s painful loss comes over a year after welcoming their son Theodore last September. Tiffany expressed her pain in a lengthy caption on her Instagram, with a picture of herself and Theodore. The mother-of-one confessed to her followers she never imagined suffering from miscarriage would be her new reality. She added:
“The emotional and physical pain of the last two weeks has been immense, and yet it came at a time when we are reminded to focus on what we are thankful for.”
She detailed the bouts of hospital visits they had to make after discovering it was an ectopic pregnancy. Tiffany noted that she asked God several questions as to why ectopic pregnancy had to be her fate. The TV star concluded the post reiterating her faith and hope for better days and comfort in her travails.
Concerned fans occupied the comment section, encouraging the star and sharing personal stories. One user thanked Tiffany for sharing her brave story and the love she had for “Poppyseed” with the world. Another user declared that they were thinking of the reality star and her family. A concerned fan sent “so much love and strength” the star’s way, adding that their “heart aches” for Tiffany.
The couple became first-time parents last September when they welcomed their son and shared pictures of his nursery. People shared that the nursery was designed by Tiffany when they bought the home six months into Theodore’s pregnancy. Tiffany confirmed her inspiration for the nursery was “calming and coastal” with a “focal accent wall.”
Gio opened up about the personal issues he faced ahead of Theodore’s birth, 3 years after saying, “I Do.” According to Screen Rant, he looked forward to Theodore’s birth for a long time and still ended up poorly prepared. Gio confessed he was partying more than he used to and going out more on the show’s 3rd season. He admitted to being a “perfectionist” who wanted to do a great job as a husband and a dad. The realtor added that he was scared because it did not look like he was making headway.
