The song’s name was inspired by the 2023 movie, Kill Bill. In the movie, actress Uma Thurman played the role of a bride – an assassin who wants to get revenge on her ex-boyfriend, Bill, and kill him.
The Waka Waka singer filmed herself mopping her kitchen floor as she mouthed the lyrics to the SZA’s song. The lyrics are “I might kill my ex, not the best idea/His new girlfriend’s next…” This is not the first time the Hips Don’t Lie singer is taking a jab at her ex-partner.
