I thought it was common knowledge that when someone is nice to you, you don’t take advantage of that. So when a company or a place offers you something for free, you should appreciate it. For example, Costco’s refill option is something that many people like to use. It being free doesn’t mean that you can exploit it. A shameless Georgia Black woman did exactly that. Instead of refilling a cup once or twice, she had brought a bottle with her. I wish that she were filling the bottle and that’s it. Nope. She kept filling it several times. It looked like she was filling it with lemonade, but that doesn’t make it any better.
Someone at the Georgia Costco decided to film the woman while she was doing that. She had put a cooler inside a shopping cart and kept filling it using the bottle. I just want to know how she planned on removing the cooler from the cart. It would definitely be heavy. It also looked like she didn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. For some reason, none of the employees there went to talk to her about what she was doing. She was also wearing a mask, but she had it pulled down, which is another thing that is weird to me. She could have at least covered her face with it while doing what she was doing because now everyone knows what she looks like. I don’t think it is a crime, but it is still not a nice thing to do.
People Reacting to the Shameless Georgia Black Woman
Of course, people were quite upset by what the Georgia woman did. Many found it insane that she had no shame and was doing this like it was a normal thing. “This is why we can’t have nice things,” one person wrote. Others went as far as calling the woman a “criminal” and that she was considered stealing from Costco; that might be true. Another person wondered why no one intervened and stopped the woman. “I’m sorry…. But what?! How is no one stopping her?” they asked. This made several people bring up race as someone else replied and said, “It’s racist to stop her.” Another person agreed and wrote, “You can’t they’re allowed to do whatever they want.” I definitely don’t agree with this. She should have been stopped whether she was Black or White.
There were very few people who tried to defend the Georgia woman. Some wanted to find an explanation for what she was doing, as one person said, “are we sure she don’t work at the store, it looks like lemonade, but it’s coming out of coke dispenser, maybe she is fixing a problem or cleaning it.” I don’t think you fix something by pouring it into a cooler repeatedly. Others kept attacking her as another person wrote, “And when someone tries to explain it to her, she will blame fifteen things and people, getting loud and aggressive, instead of stepping back, using objective reasoning and rational thought and laughing at her laziness, apologizing and getting the mix on isle 6.” Of course, there were a lot of racist comments, which are absolutely wrong. She is in the wrong yes, but that doesn’t mean people could be racist.
