People board cruise ships expecting to relax and enjoy themselves without a care in the world. That’s why passengers on a Florida cruise were shocked when they realized the ship’s water didn’t appear to be clean. The incident occurred aboard the Carnival Paradise, which turned out to be anything but paradise for some guests. One passenger decided to document what was happening to prove his concerns. In a video, he placed a completely white towel in the sink and turned on the faucet. Within seconds, the towel began turning brown. As he filmed the disturbing moment, the man also claimed that several people on the ship had been experiencing various illnesses, raising even more concerns about the water quality on board.
The water on the Florida cruise appeared to be contaminated, especially as a brown stain quickly spread across the towel. “The entire ship smells like poop,” the man said. “Carnival you can do better,” he added, directly addressing the cruise line. As the water continued to run, the brown spot on the towel grew darker and larger. It was hard not to wonder what could be causing the discoloration. The man then lifted the towel from beneath the faucet, clearly showing how the water had turned part of it brown. To further prove his point, he placed a second clean white towel under the running water. Almost immediately, the area where the water hit began turning brown as well. He lifted that towel too, once again revealing the stain. Based on what was shown, the water did not appear safe to use.
People Reacting to the Shocking Scene on the Florida Cruise
Viewers who watched the video were stunned by the condition of the water on the Florida cruise, especially since it clearly didn’t look clean. In the comments, reactions poured in quickly. One person urged the man to take action, writing, “Save the water get it tested Sue.” Another commenter pushed back, claiming legal action wouldn’t be possible by saying, “Once you sign that contract, Your sue days are VOIDED!” That response sparked further debate, with others arguing that cruise lines are still responsible for passenger safety. One user replied, “Just because you agree to their terms doesn’t mean they can run a ship with health hazards. Just because you agree to pay for a mcchicken doesn’t mean you agree to pay for e. Coli does it? Where do you people come from? Lol seems like you’re a politician or something defending obviously belligerent unhygienic practices and saying tough luck. Thank God there’s people who actually went to law school for this type of situation.” The exchange highlighted just how alarming viewers found the situation and how divided opinions were over accountability and passenger rights.
Dozens of commenters speculated that the water looked brown because it was contaminated with feces. One person joked, “The water leaving dookie streaks is crazy.” Another commenter turned the discussion political, writing, “The president fired the people in charge of making sure this doesn’t happen,” which quickly sparked a heated argument over what could have caused the issue. Others were more cynical about how the cruise line might respond. One person wrote, “And if you show them this they’ll offer you a $30 credit to use for your next cruise.” That comment prompted another to share a personal experience, saying, “I was on a carnival ship and part of the engine was on fire‼! I just knew they would give me a free cruise. Nope a $25 off coupon.” Many viewers agreed on one point above all else, that, regardless of the cause or compensation, the cruise line should at least ensure the water on board is clean.
