There is absolutely no reason that would make it okay for an adult to attack a young boy. Unfortunately, this still happened when a sick California man decided to attack a 14-year-old boy. Apparently, the boy and his friend were riding their bikes when they came across the man driving his own bike. They narrowly missed hitting him, especially since he had no lights on. Despite this being his fault, the man decided to chase the two boys, and he managed to catch the 14-year-old. According to the boy, the attacker then proceeded to push him off his bike and slam him to the ground. He didn’t stop at that because he then started punching him several times in the face.
Once the boy managed to get away from the California man, he started filming him as he was slashing his tires and destroying his bike. He also destroyed the boy’s helmet while punching him. What is heartbreaking here isn’t just the attack, but also the fact that the boy pleaded with passing drivers to stop and help him. He kept saying “Help me” and “Please stop” until a woman was kind enough to stop. “I’m not okay. He just slashed my tires, ma’am,” he told her. At that moment, the suspect fled.
This attack in California certainly left the boy traumatized. Since the man had a knife with him to slash the tires, the teen thought that he was getting stabbed. “He was hitting me with the under part of his hand… screaming at me, spitting in my face, saying that he was going to kill me. In the moment, I thought he was stabbing me, and I feared for my life to be honest,” he said according to ABC7. We can only hope that this disgusting man will be arrested soon and that the boy will be able to heal.

Anyone who heard the California boy recounting the attack felt bad for him. No 14-year-old boy should go through this. This made one person write, “Poor baby.” Another person found it insane that something like this actually happened. “What a crazy world we are living in…,” they wrote. Someone else was grateful that the woman who helped the boy decided to stop instead of driving away. “Poor kid … Thankfully a woman stopped & helped him. Don’t get violent if you’re going to ride at night without lights are reflective gear.. Hopefully he’s arrested soon & doesn’t hurt anyone else,” they said. The man is definitely the one at fault here. One woman was also deeply affected by what happened as she left a comment saying:
“Omg! Horrible. What a brave young man at only 14 to get help like that. I’m so sorry this happened to him. People are absolutely out of control. Coward responsible for this is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I’m so glad he’s OK, although he will be traumatized from this for a long time. Also, thankfully, he had a helmet on look what happened to his helmet and I could only imagine if he hadn’t had it on. Please wear your helmets. Smart kid.”
There was another thing that was just as shocking as the California attack, and that was how some people tried to find a way to blame the kid. “I feel like there more to the story,” one person wrote. Another person then asked, “what did he do tho?” Someone else blamed the boy for not defending himself as they asked, “Why didn’t the kid at least try to defend himself?” How would he have done this when the man had a knife with him? Pleading for help was the right thing to do. At least several people found it insane that anyone would come after the kid. For example, one TikTok user wrote, “‘Why was the kid out that late’ Thats not the thing you should be worried about, you should be worried about why a GROWN MAN ASSAULTED A CHILD.” That is what everyone should focus on.
