Simon Cowell‘s family recently enjoyed a day out, and fans could not help but notice the spitting resemblance between the father and son in cute snaps alongside Lauren Silverman. For someone who once vowed never to get married or have kids, Simon Cowell seems to be getting well-adjusted to fatherhood and his relationship with fiancee Lauren Silverman.
The 63-year-old media look set to make good on that promise until he welcomed his son Eric, 8, with Lauren, 45, in 2014. American socialite Lauren also has a 16-year-old son from her previous marriage to businessman Andrew Silverman.
Cowell is also set to quit the bachelor lifestyle and walk down the aisle for the first time. The Britain’s Got Talent panelist proposed to Lauren on Christmas Eve in Barbados. Simon Cowell’s son was a keen observer of the proposal and it is expected that he would also play a key role when the lovebirds eventually tie the knot.
Meanwhile, Cowell has been very vocal about his fatherhood journey. The music mogul once admitted that becoming a father changed his life and helped him to get over a dangerous obsession with work, which left him “depressed” and unable to sleep.
More recently, Simon also admitted that his son helps him make some decisions on his talent show. He also described fatherhood as the best thing to happen to him in life, despite joining the party quite late.

Simon Cowell’s Family Enjoys Day Out
On Friday Simon Cowell’s family was spotted spending quality time together as they watched Chelsea take on Fulham at Stamford bridge.
At the end of the game, Cowell took to his Instagram page to share some pictures that captured them enjoying the game from inside a box. At some point, Simon Cowell’s son Eric also got a special visit from his idol midfielder Mason Mount.
In another picture, Cowell can be seen hiding his face beneath a Chelsea flag while posing with his son and fiancee. The visibly excited family is sandwiched by the club’s mascot.
Another picture showed the adorable moment Eric got to chat with Mount. The youngster who wore a Chelsea jersey appeared thrilled to meet the footballer and Mason spent some time chatting with Eric. The excited father shared the pictures alongside the caption:
“We had the best time at @chelseafc, @masonmount you are such a nice person. Thank you!”
Cowell might be new to the fatherhood business, but he seems to be having a great time. For him the story is pretty much clear — it is better late than never.
