Simone Biles received a nice surprise from her husband, Jonathan Owens. In her latest Instagram Story, the Olympic gymnast shared a photo of three bouquets of flowers that the NFL star recently sent her. The lavish gift included a beautiful display of red and white roses in a pair of vases, as well as pink lilies and carnations arranged in a basket. The romantic gesture proves the couple is still going strong weeks after Owens was criticized for making controversial comments about their relationship.
Jonathan Owens Surprises Simone Biles With Flowers
Owens surprised Biles with flowers just days after they rang in 2024 apart. The football star spent New Year’s Eve playing for the Green Bay Packers. Meanwhile, Biles was busy attending a friend’s wedding. Although it appears the couple has since reunited, it seems Owens wanted to show Biles some love with flowers. His gift clearly got the Olympian’s seal of approval as she showed off her huge bouquets on her Instagram Story. She made sure fans knew the flowers were from Owens by captioning her post “My husband >>>>.”
Notably, Owens’ romantic gesture for Biles comes weeks after their relationship came under public scrutiny following their appearance on The Pivot podcast. When asked how he managed to “pull” someone like Biles, Owens said it was really about how she pulled him.
I didn’t know who she was at the time but the first thing that I saw was that she just had a bunch of followers, so in my mind, I’m like, ‘Okay, she gotta be good.’

After the pair began talking, Owens said Biles would drive 45 minutes to see him. When the hosts remarked that Owens was “the catch” in their relationship, the football player agreed, saying:
I always say the man is the catch.

Biles’ fans found it hard to believe Owens wasn’t familiar with the Olympian before they began dating and criticized him for his “catch” comment. Despite the backlash, Biles and Owens have made it clear they’re not letting the noise get to them as they continue showing off their love on social media.
