Season 19 of Sister Wives shows Christine Brown convincing her longtime friend and former co-wife Janelle Brown to walk on the wild side with her. During the Feb 2nd episode, the two TLC stars and Christine’s new husband, David Woolley, were relocating Janelle to North Carolina and made a pitstop at a bar in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Janelle Brown admits to feeling uncomfortable at the bar, revealing it is not her usual scene. Though she has sipped wine before, Janelle shares with Christine and David that at 55, she has never had a shot.
Leave it to Christine to urge Janelle to knock the first-time event off her bucket list. TLC and popular Shreveport bar Fatty Arbuckles shared the clip of Janelle’s first time on their FaceBook pages for fans to enjoy.
Fatty Arbuckles, commonly known as Fatty’s, is located under the Texas Street Bridge in the 400 block of Clyde Fant Pkwy. The popular establishment offers specialized craft cocktails and over 200 different whiskeys and spirits.
Christine Brown states during her confessional that she doesn’t mind being Janelle’s ‘bad influence.’ Her Sister Wives co-star’s innocence amuses her and finally coaxes her into taking her first shot.
But only after shamelessly admitting that she has been taking shots with all of Janelle Brown’s grown children for some time. Janelle is ready to take the celebratory shot with David and Christine to mark her new start.
Fans Bash Christine Brown’s Immature Behavior As Janelle Brown Experiences Her First Shot
Christine tells the bartender to ‘make it fun,’ but before he can suggest something too crazy for Janelle’s first shot, David steps in and makes a suggestion. Woolley tells the women he thinks they should try a Slippery Nipple.
He describes the drink, telling the Sister Wives stars that it tastes like butterscotch and includes a shot of Baileys. Christine immediately smiles and tells David, “I’m down.”
The 55-year-old seems intrigued and horrified at the same time as she is told she must down the drink quickly. Janelle hesitates but finally gets down the shot while Christine Brown seemingly acts like a young party girl. She later stated she appreciated David and felt he took it easy on her since it was her first time.
Viewers are torn about the bar scene. While many were happy to see Janelle Brown moving forward with her new life and open to new experiences, others were annoyed by Christine’s childish behavior.
One fan writes, “I’m so happy to see them enjoying life and having fun together.” Another adds, “Glad to see Janelle cut loose. But Christine. The way she made sure to tell Janelle she had indulged with her kids on more than one occasion. Then telling David she was down and chanting shots, shots, shots was embarrassing for a woman her age.”
Things have changed since Christine Brown and Janelle Brown called it quits with Kody Brown. The long-running reality series has a different feel. Many viewers think TLC will sign on for one more season before possibly ending Sister Wives in Season 20.
