Slime Rancher 2: How to Get More Inventory Slots
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

Slime Rancher 2 continues Beatrix LaBreau’s adventure on Rainbow Island, and as you can expect, she will meet even more Slimes during her quest. Carrying around Slimes and materials throughout Rainbow Island will take more time if you don’t have a lot of room in your Vacpack, which means upgrading your inventory or carrying capacity is vital to this game. However, which Slime Rancher 2 inventory slots do you need to get: Extra Tank or Tank Booster slots?

How to Get More Extra Tank Upgrade Slots in Slime Rancher 2

In Slime Rancher 2, Tanks refer to the inventory slots on the bottom screen inventory toolbar. With that in mind, if you need more slots for the inventory toolbar, then you need an Extra Tank Upgrade. Getting the Extra Tank means you’ll be able to carry and stack several kinds of items. Head to the Conservatory, go to the lower level, interact with the Fabricator and pick the Upgrade tab. For an Extra Tank Upgrade, you will need:

  • 10 Rock Plorts
  • 10 Silky Sand
  • And 1,500 Newbucks

How to Get More Tank Booster Upgrade Slots

Meanwhile, getting the Tank Booster Upgrade will add more space in each inventory/Tank slot and let you bring along up to 30 units in each. If you want to stack even more items in one slot, grab the Tank Booster Upgrade. For example, you can store 30 Tabby Plorts in one slot and 30 Cotton Plorts in another. Of course, this means it will be much easier to carry around things in bulk back and forth when you want to just move, store, or sell items. Head to the Fabricator again and spend these items for an upgrade:

  • 10 Tabby Plorts
  • And 450 Newbucks
