SnowRunner Steam
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

SnowRunner, Saber Interactive’s strangely contemplative snowy off-road driving sim about getting stuck in the middle of nowhere and having a good time of it, will debut on Steam, the Windows Store, and Nintendo Switch on May 18. Arriving a little over a year since SnowRunner made its well-reviewed arrival on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC through one of Epic’s monetarily lubricated exclusives on the Games Store, the Steam, Windows Store, and Switch versions benefit from all the free content and additions that have dropped in the interim.

The ‘Complete SnowRunner Experience’

Publisher Focus Interactive calls it the ‘complete SnowRunner experience.’ Hard to disagree with the inclusion of the base games, four seasons of content, and all the DLC Wraps and vehicles bundled into one.

Focus and Saber have published a new trailer to drum up interest in the belated launch, which you can watch right below.

Otherwise, here’s the official blurb highlighting what awaits if you’ve yet to give SnowRunner a test drive.

Face extreme environments in a highly advanced physics engine. Drive your way through dozens of huge maps from Alaska to Russia, in any of the 40 unique vehicles to unlock, upgrade and customize at your disposal. Complete dozens of challenging missions across a vast interconnected world and put that experience to use in creating your own mods and missions. Get behind the wheel and join a community of 2 million seasoned and adventurous drivers!”

As for what we thought of SnowRunner here at The Nerd Stash, we noted:

In a time when everyone is staying home, SnowRunner is a much needed and relaxing game. It’s the type of simulation that players can devote hours of their time in and still have so much more to do. It’s slow yet methodical, tedious yet difficult, and anything but dull or boring.”

Once more, SnowRunner launches on May 18 on Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Windows Store. Are you excited? Let us know in the comments below.
