While most fans and players enjoyed Sonic Frontiers for its amazing gameplay and freedom to run around the islands, the story of the game was also pretty decent. At the start of the game, players face many questions and mysteries that, even at the end of them, won’t be answered fully. This is because there are two endings, and here is how you can get the true ending of Sonic Frontiers.
How to Get the True Ending of Sonic Frontiers
Sage, the artificial intelligence made by Doctor Eggman, is considered the main antagonist of the majority of the game. But as you get close to the conclusion of the game, a monster known as The End appears to devour the planets, and Sage helps Sonic defeat this monster, who, in the end, dies while dealing with the final blow.
At this ending, not only do we not get to fight The End, but the true ending of Sage will also remain a mystery to us. There is another ending that is considered the True Ending of the game, which can only be achieved if you complete the game on hard difficulty.
Although you don’t have to play the game from start to finish at the Hard difficulty, if you change the difficulty to Hard before you acquire the sixth Chaos Emerald, then it would count as well. Then you have to beat the Supreme.
In Normal difficulty, the game would end here, but in Hard difficulty, Sonic and Sage will go to space to face The End. Here, the game will shift to a top-down bullet-hell shooter. The gameplay is the same as hacking sequences from the beginning of the game but much harder.
Once you’ve completed this part and the Quick-Time Event, you will see Sonic and Sage defeating The End with each other’s help, and Sage seemingly dies in the process. But this time, after the credits roll, you will see short footage that shows Doctor Eggman has managed to save Sage after the encounter with The End.
