The new survival horror game from Endnight Games, Sons of the Forest, was released in Early Access. We want to highlight some details before you get lost in its landscapes trying to survive.

Sons of the Forest is the sequel to the game The Forest. It is set on a supposedly deserted island where we must survive mutants, cannibals, and other dangers. We are trying to locate a missing billionaire in our area. As the canons of survival games dictate, it will be up to us to provide sustenance and tools to survive, weapons to defend ourselves, and decisions to make if we want to fulfill our mission. At the same time, we get to know life on the nightmarish island where we find ourselves.

1. Wants to be bigger than its predecessor

The aspiration of any sequel is to surpass its predecessor; it seems that Sons of the Forest is on the right track. Its map will be up to four times larger than in The Forest. This time, we will have a more extensive arsenal to face the threats we will find on the island where the sequel takes place.

2. Sons of The Forest is in Early Access

Sons of The Forest 5 Things You Should Know

Last minute, Sons of The Forest‘s developers recognized that the game would not be ready for February 23; still, Endnigth Games wants to repeat the move marked with the first one by putting it in Early Access on Steam.

3. A “realistic” crafting system

In a survival game, we must consider weather, food, or drink factors. Also, we must know how to assemble our own tools and structures not to faint. In this aspect, Sons of the Forest wants to be an experience that flees from the classic system of plans or mechanical constructions.

4. You can not follow Sons of The Forest’s plot

One of the great attractions of survival games is that they can have no end. However, unlike what happened in The Forest, here we will have a more elaborate plot. But do not fear that the spirit of exploration of the IP is not lost.

5. Not suitable for the faint-hearted, but you can come with friends

What would a survival game be without a small horror component? Although it is not a factor included in all games of the genre, having some component that keeps us on permanent alert helps immersion in the game. Still, it can deter those who want to enjoy a quiet experience.

Sons of the Forest is available on Steam for early access.
