Sony has just announced that it will hold a State of Play event tomorrow September 24, 2024. The event will have 20 new upcoming games in it, some of which will be for the PlayStation VR2, while some others will be for the PlayStation 5 itself.

These are not just first-party exclusive games, but other third-party studios as well from around the world. The State of Play show will be over 30 minutes long and will kick off on September 24 at 3 PM PT, 6 PM ET, or September 25 at 12 AM CEST, 7 AM JST. It will be available on both YouTube and Twitch with two different streams for Japanese and English viewers.

Fans will have to wait until tomorrow to find out what Sony has in store since we donโ€™t know much about the reveals, like if any of these upcoming PlayStation games will be new or just previously revealed ones. Perhaps the long-rumored remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn will get a trailer or maybe even Lego Horizons before its eventual release in November.

Sony hasnโ€™t had a State of Play event in a while as the last one was back in May of this year. The company was very transparent about how 2024 was going to be a dry year in terms of exclusive releases as well as reveals, but that might change in 2025.

The most recent reveals from the company were hardware-related. This includes the PlayStation 5 Pro which is a more powerful version of the standard PS5 and will cost $700 for the Digital Edition. If you want a disc drive, it can be purchased separately for $80, but only if you can actually find one.

The other major hardware announcement was the 30th Anniversary edition of the PlayStation line-up. This includes the PS5 Pro, PS5, PlayStation Portal, as well as the DualSense controller. The pricing of the PS1-themed hardware hasnโ€™t been made official yet, but leaks have shed some light on what we can expect.
