While many of us can’t wait to kick some boy band butts in Warframe 1999, Soulframe is about to get its open beta. Previously, we got a glimpse at some of the upcoming combat mechanics and the player-owned hub we’ll all get. However, we got an extended look during TennoCon 2024, and let me tell you, it’s looking great. The world is much more fleshed out, combat looks impactful and flashy, and the art style is second to none. And the best thing about this is that we’re just a few months away from delving into this new world.
If you missed the gameplay showcase, we’ve added it above, and we recommend you watch it fully. Beyond the vast areas you can explore, there’s a look at new combat mechanics and customization, and yes, you can even pet an oversized wolf. However, the juiciest details include a new ancestor who can customize your outfits and an enemy that seems to chase you à la Nemesis from Resident Evil. Starting with the former, it seems that after a quick quest, you can bring back ancestors to your otherworldly abode and customize your gear, outfits, and so on. Nimrod, the enemy who chased the player across the demo, looks like a fantastic fight. However, it isn’t a walk in the park. From what we gathered, it’ll chase you more than once, which is interesting as it adds a new layer of danger.
Since all of these things sound fantastic, you might be wondering when will we get an open beta for Soulframe. According to recent information, the closest window is set for Fall 2024. The exact date is a mystery, but we aren’t far from it. Also, the developers always value continuous feedback as players test their games. Opening the doors to Soulframe in a few months is a terrific idea. Hopefully, we’ll get more information about this upcoming game soon.
