Fights over parking spots are nothing new. It could happen to anyone, but the severity of the fight changes from one situation to another. While having a parking spot is important, that never justifies attacking someone or being racist toward them. A South Carolina Karen and her husband started a fight with an innocent Black man over a parking spot. The two of them surrounded the guy and started verbally attacking him to force him to give up the place. This is definitely wrong, and while many people would have passed by without stopping, one kind man decided to step in and stand up to the couple.
According to the man’s wife, once he saw Karen and her husband harassing the other guy, he decided to intervene and tell them to calm down. The Karen didn’t like that at all. Instead of stopping the argument, she turned toward the man intervening and told him, “Why don’t you go back to like India or wherever you are from?” Such a racist response over a parking spot is unnecessary. She and her husband should have stopped harassing the Black man and moved on. Instead, they decided to verbally attack him, and the wife decided to be racist as well. When she turns back to the innocent man, you can see that she is holding her phone and filming the situation. Now, why would she think that she is doing nothing wrong and can film what’s happening? She basically caught herself being racist on camera.
People Reacting to the South Carolina Karen
The fact that the South Carolina Karen didn’t mind being racist over a parking spot made a lot of people unpleased. It is fair enough that people started criticizing her for the way she behaved. One person didn’t like that such a situation is even taking place as they wrote, “Trump’s America is an ugly place.” Others came after her appearance as some compared her to Adam Sandler. “You don’t got to insult Adam Sandler like that,” someone replied. Another person mocked the way her face looks as they said, “She needs to go back to the barn/stable with that horse mouth.” Someone else wrote, “She needs to go back to Europe as well.” This didn’t make Europeans happy as they too didn’t want to come across the South Carolina Karen. “No, we don’t want that here,” one European wrote.
There were also some comments that wished harm to the Karen due to her racism. “I know freedom of speech is like critically important in this country but would it be OK for people to just explode after they say something like this? Happy Independence Day, you racist windbag,” one person wrote. This made another one reply and say, “Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences.” They have got a point. The India comment made one Redditor share their own experience of being told to go back to India as a child. “F**k that couple in the video though, they seem like shitty human beings who act that way with everyone. If they can’t be racist they’d just go after the next thing which is equally bad,” they added. Honestly, I feel sad for anyone who has to deal with her and her husband.
