Failure to move on from a past relationship can be dangerous, and one incident from Rock Hill, South Carolina, is a good proof of that. A toxic ex-boyfriend who’s still apparently hung up on his ex-girlfriend suddenly decided to break into her home. Luckily for the woman and unluckily for her ex-boyfriend, the current boyfriend was with her, and he also had a gun. Hence, the ex-boyfriend’s break-in attempt ended up in a shooting incident. Graphic video warning:
The video was actually old footage captured around two years ago, but only recently uploaded by the boyfriend or the man with the gun. In the video, the woman and her then-current boyfriend were just hanging out in the living room when the woman’s ex-boyfriend tried to barge in and started knocking at the door violently. The woman, as expected, didn’t want to let him in, so he got angry and kicked the door open.
To the ex-boyfriend’s surprise, the current boyfriend had a gun, so he immediately shot the ex-boyfriend with two well-placed rounds from his Glock handgun. This stopped the assault and the break-in.
Thankfully, the ex-boyfriend didn’t die from the two shots, and the neighbors immediately helped the assailant with his wounds. Afterward, he spent one month in the hospital from the gunshot wounds. Meanwhile, the current boyfriend who shot him allegedly didn’t get charged with anything as the incident fell under US self-defense laws. The man who shot the ex-boyfriend even gave a rather lengthy update about what happened back then.
The boyfriend who shot the ex has since moved on from the incident and now appears to be cashing in on the popularity of the incident’s footage, using it to boost his TikTok account, named @moneymanlifee, a.k.a. moneymanhealth.
The Risky Shots Had People Worried
While TikTok user @moneymanlifee stopped a domestic abuse attempt with his handgun, people online were still in disbelief that he didn’t hit his then-girlfriend in the video. She was notably too close to the door when her ex-boyfriend was shot and could’ve easily gotten hit in the heat of the moment. A stern warning to discourage the assailant before the shot would’ve been ideal, but there was no way of knowing whether the ex also had a weapon.
To @moneymanlifee’s credit, he did tell his then-girlfriend to move away from the door before shooting, and many people were also impressed at his excellent aim. The TikTok user’s hobby involves collecting guns, and it seems this has worked well in his favor. It’s worth noting that the man has already broken up with the girlfriend he saved.
“๐ I mean it was a lil close to yo girl but good aim,” praises spartin33
“This all could have been avoided if bro just moved on. If he still alive I know he in that hospital bed wishing he wouldโve just said f it,” says trill.hvt
“10/10 Aim, dude was already inside, actual danger, defending a third party, as a lawyer this dude is legit,” claims manuel_jmez
