God of War, one of the most bloody and violent fantasy action games one can find. It took Kratos from 2005 to 2010 to avenge his family, become a god, betray the gods, and then kill the gods. Well, the Ghost of Sparta may be astounded to learn that he could have done all of that in a mere four hours. If only he’d practiced those glitches and time-saving techniques… This edition of Speedrun Fast is dedicated to the God of War series. We’ll be watching as Clockworkexe dashes through the original trilogy, including the time it takes to switch from one game to the next. “Zeus! Your son has returned. I bring the speedrun of Olympus!”

First, it’s worth pointing out that Santa Monica Studios just happened to be in the chat during this stream. Clockworkexe keeps up a friendly conversation with his watchers while making Kratos look snappy in that business suit with those massive suitcases. He also performs some very well-timed attacks and other maneuvers. In between GoW2 and GoW3, there’s a bit of funniness watching him desperately try to switch games as quickly as possible and flub it once or twice. GoW3 is played in NG+, as a normal run would require around three hours to perform. The time from start to finish is a whopping four seconds faster than the previous splits, making this a new world record as of last year.
The God of War franchise will see its fourth main iteration… someday. Fans can expect an impressive lumberjack-style beard and the inclusion of Kratos’s son as a key gameplay element. The concept takes the plot inwards for a more personal experience. Looks like Clockworkexe will soon have to do his series run all over again, and no doubt it will be even faster and more exciting than ever.
