One of the last big games of 2023 is Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2, and while the studio has been keeping a few things under cover, they brought out the big guns for the State of Play of September 2023. During this showcase, we saw brand-new gameplay for Spider-Man 2, including a bigger look at New York City, its quest system, and some of the upgrades Miles and Peter can get. So, if you missed the State of Play of September 2023, here’s every detail for the upcoming Spider-Man 2 game.

Spider-Man 2 Shows New Quest System During State of Play 2023

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Expanded Marvel's New York | PS5 Games

Insomniac has been hard at work, and they are bringing a new gameplay system for Spider-Man 2, as shown during the State of Play of September 2023. According to the developers, the new quest system will allow both Spider-Men to do missions around all city districts. This will unlock new quests and even a big showdown against some of the most dangerous enemies in the Spider-Universe.

Besides the new quest system, the State of Play 2023 showcased how changing between heroes would work in Spider-Man 2. If the footage doesn’t fool us, it’ll be instant. You can play with Peter at one time and switch to Miles on the fly. This is important as many quests will be tied to one of the Spider-Men, depending on the district. If you want to help someone at Visions Academy, you’d better bring Miles.

Undoubtedly, Spider-Man 2 aims to be one of the biggest superhero games ever made, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. If you haven’t, you can still pre-order the game before it launches on PS5 on October 20.
