Insomniac released Spider-Man 2 in a fairly stable state but that doesn’t mean that some unintentional mistakes weren’t made. In the latest entry in Insomniac’s web-swinging simulator, we take control of two characters, Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Miles is of Puerto Rican descent, but when exploring Miles’ house in the game, the flag was actually Cuban. The flags look somewhat similar, and it was likely an honest mistake. Insomniac faced relatively normal backlash, and in update 1.001.003 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the patch notes include a fix that replaces the flag.
Insomniac also apologized along with this update, saying that correct representation matters to the company and promised to do better in the future. While this update is important for many people, the real feature fans have been waiting for, New Game Plus, is still in the works and should arrive by the end of the year. With that out of the way, here is the complete list of patch notes for update 1.001.003 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2:
