A Fantastical Journey from Square Enix, Harvestella is Here
Set in a unique world filled with opportunity and potential, Harvestella drops you into the middle of a situation. The four main Seaslight crystals have encountered a problem, notably known as the Quietus. This “season of death” interrupts the changing seasons by placing a massive burden on the world. Crops shrivel up, deadly dust engulfs the air, and folks must remain indoors to avoid exposure. On top of that, Quietus seems to occur more persistently whenever the seasons shift. Why is this happening?
That’s where we, the protagonist, come into play. With a house acting as our main base, the main objective is to uncover the mystery and truth behind Quietus. Of course, we can’t simply walk into trouble expecting positive results. We’ll need to do some farming and crafting on the side while also establishing friendly – and some unfriendly – connections along the way. Additionally, you’ll also encounter some animals during your adventures in the world of Harvestella.
To see some of the Harvestella gameplay in action, Square Enix unveiled a launch trailer to complement the game’s release. The footage showcases snippets of dialogue and combat being intertwined with shots of named locations and wondrous scenery. It has that beautiful JRPG touch we’ve all come to know and love. Watch the trailer now, which we’ve attached here above.
Harvestella from Square Enix is available for Nintendo Switch and PC players for $59.99. The release is digital-only for PC, with physical copies offered to Switch owners. Are you excited to dive into Harvestella? What did you think of the new footage? Let us know!
