Square Enix has thrown up a mysterious new teaser on its Tokyo Game Show website.
Although the teaser site is entirely in Japanese, the clever folks at DualShockers translated the page, the small site gives no details away other than confirmation of a new action game that will be revealed at 1 pm (local JST time) on Thursday, September 15, which is around 9 pm PST September 14, on Square Enix’s main stage at TGS. Square’s entire presentation will be live streamed on the official YouTube channel September 18 at around 1 pm (local JST time), which would be 9 pm PST, September 17.
And that’s about it.
No titles, graphics, photos, or even any cryptic message to give any indication as to what Square is cooking up, luckily it’s only a week’s wait away.
Square Enix has it’s plate quite full at the moment, with multiple big titles in development, Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remaster to name a few. It’s very likely some of that development is being outsourced.
Despite gearing up to show off a new game, Square Enix is still hard at work launching Final Fantasy XV, the newest entry in their flagship series. The much anticipated JRPG has had a nontraditional development cycle, first being the PlayStation 3 exclusive Final Fantasy Versus XIII, then undergoing massive redevelopment to become the next-gen title it is now. The session will be live-streamed around the world on the Final Fantasy XV YouTube channel and the Square Enix Twitch page from 11 am PT. The complete session will be uploaded to YouTube afterwards.
