The Zone is filled with dangerous mutants who will not hesitate to kill you for stumbling on their territories. While you may wish to avoid them, there are moments in the main story where you are forced to deal with them head-on. Among the hardest mutants to kill in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is the Bloodsucker. These creatures can go invisible, making fighting them a nightmare, especially during nighttime.

When you encounter a Bloodsucker in Stalker 2, it usually lets out an ear-piercing scream to announce its presence. When that occurs, there are several things you can do. First, you can look for a big wall that you can use to cover your back. This mutant loves to attack you from behind, so if you cut off its path, it will be forced to attack you head-on. Of course, its fast speed will still make it a challenging enemy to defeat.

Another method is to use a hallway. If you can funnel the monster into this type of structure, it will be much easier for you to track its location. Remember, it will always try to attack you from behind. So try to change that tactic.

Another method is to be proactive. This is arguably the hardest one since you must have a fast reflex. When the Bloodsucker lunges toward you, you must sprint past it and turn around to attack it from behind. Due to the mutant’s speed, this is easier said than done. You need to depend on your ears and eyes and ensure you never lose sight of your target, or else you’re toast.

Lastly, if you are near an NPCs group. You can also try to run toward them and force them to help you deal with this mutant. Unlike you, these NPCs can still see it and reliably shoot the monster.

Shotguns are the best weapon you can use to deal with a Bloodsucker. This gun can inflict an incredible amount of damage compared to other guns. If you still have trouble dealing with this monster, consider using a mod that can lower the health of this mutant since Bloodsucker is a bullet sponge.
