The Lingcod fish is one of the many catchable fish in the game Stardew Valley but unlike most fish in the game, the Lingcod can only be caught in specific places and times. Getting the locations and time can be difficult, so here’s how you can catch your very own Lingcod in Stardew Valley.

How To Catch A Lingcod Fish In Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley Lingcod

To catch a Lingcod in Stardew Valley, it must be the Winter season in your save. This fish only comes out then, so get some other things done while you wait. Once Winter begins, you’ll need to head to a river in Pelican Town, Cindersap Forest, or the Mountain Lake area. Once at a river, whip out your fishing pole and fish away, and you should get a Lingcod.

It’s worth noting that you’ll need a Lingcod for a quest made by Willy on the 13 of Winter, called Catch a Lingcod. Keep this in mind so you can have a fish ready for his quest, as you’ll snag 550g and one friendship heart.

Our Other Guides

  • How to Get Beets
  • How to Get a Battery Pack

That may be everything there is to catching a Lingcod in Stardew Valley, but it’s worth noting it has some other uses. For example, a few recipes require the fish to make them, and they can be quite valuable later on:

  • Maki Roll
  • Quality Fertilizer
  • Sashimi
  • Fishing Vest

However, if you are looking to make a quick buck, the Lingcod can sell for a pretty penny and more if you have the Fisher (25%) and Angler (50%) skills. Below you’ll find a full list of prices depending on the level of Fishing skill you have.
