At first glance, fishing in Stardew Valley might look very simple. But since each species of fish has a unique schedule, it can sometimes take time for players to find a specific fish. However, most of them are available during 2-3 seasons, such as the Sardine.

The Sardine is a marine fish, so you won’t be able to catch it in rivers or lakes. Instead, you need to travel south of the map towards the Beach. Those with the Beach Farm can fish from their property. The Sardine swims up to the shores only during Winter, Fall, and Spring.

If you want a break from fishing, try your luck and search Garbage Cans during the same seasons. Additionally, the Traveling Cart has a small chance to sell Sardines. But of course, the price of the fish will be high. Therefore, fishing is the best way to get Sardines in Stardew Valley.

What To Do With Sardine in Stardew Valley?

So, you can sell the Sardine like other fish in Stardew Valley. However, you can get no more than 120g for it. Also, none of the villagers like this fish. Fortunately, there is one dish for which you will need a Sardine.

Dish O’ The Sea can increase your fishing efficiency. To cook it, you need Hashbrowns and 2 Sardines. You can also cook simpler recipes with this fish, including Sashimi, Quality Fertilizer, and Maki Roll.

That’s all you need to know about how to catch a Sardine in Stardew Valley. You will need this fish for making dishes and completing random quests via the Help Wanted board, so follow our tips to get it. While you are here, here’s a guide on how to build a Coop.

Stardew Valley is available for PC, iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles.
