From new festivals to Skill Books, the Stardew Valley 1.6 update adds a ton of new content to this beloved farming simulation game. When you go to sleep, you may have a chance to witness Mr. Qi riding a plane and dropping a bunch of green boxes with parachutes. They are called Mystery Boxes, and the game will inform you that they can now be found in the village. Unfortunately, you’re not told how to get or use Mystery Boxes in Stardew Valley, which may confuse some players.
How To Get & Use Mystery Boxes in Stardew Valley
Mystery Boxes is quite similar to Geode, which you can discover while mining in Stardew Valley caves. You may get this new item by performing various activities, such as:
- Digging up Artifact Spots
- Fishing
- Mining
- Chopping trees
The location of all Mystery Boxes is randomly generated, so I can’t tell you which spot is the best to get this item. The best method to get them is by mining minerals or chopping down trees. Once you have a Mystery Box, you can visit the Blacksmith on the east side of town.
Clint opens his shop from 9 AM to 4 PM every day except Friday. Speak with the man and select the Process Geodes option. You will be brought to a new menu where you can watch Clint crack open Geodes on his anvil.
Afterward, just drag one of the Mystery Boxes to Clint, and the man will open the object with his hammer. You must pay 25 Gold for each box that the Blacksmith opens. Like Geode, the items that you get from opening Mystery Boxes are different each time.
Here is the list of items that you may obtain:
