We could say no one saw this coming, but there were already rumors about the game being in a very rough shape. Today, we have two announcements. Starfield is getting a Direct that will likely showcase many things, but the game is also getting a delay which is quite bad. This isn’t too surprising, given the scope of the title. As we all know, open-world RPGs take a lot of time to make, and even more if the developers want to release a high-quality game. Just look at the wait we’ve had for GTA 6. But, after the hype and things that have been said about the upcoming title, some people are getting skeptical now. The good news is that Starfield finally has an official release date.
Starfield will host a Direct on June 11 and the game announced a delay for September 6
The silver lining of this news is that we finally know when the game is coming. Provided there isn’t another delay for Starfield. It is a bit sad to see one of the biggest games of the year not meeting the first release window, but we sort of understand. Now, not all is bad. A Starfield Direct is set for June 11, which will showcase more things about the game. Glass half full type of situation.

While Xbox has been quite slow with its exclusives, Sony isn’t stopping at all. The few things we’ve seen about Final Fantasy 16 look great and show that it is better to keep a release date quiet instead of announcing something and delaying it. We truly hope this game will change the course of Xbox as it really needs some exclusive titles. In the meantime, all we can do is wait for the Starfield Direct on June 11 and the game’s release date on September 6. Again, we hope we will not get any more changes because we can’t wait to play this game when it arrives.
