The world in Starfield is vast and diverse. On each planet, you will find unique flora and fauna, various cities, NPCs, and of course enemies. But fighting and exploring planets is not the only thing you can do since people in the universe need help. And it so happened that you are the only one who can respond. An example of such a call for help is the Operation Starseed quest, which will force you to make difficult choices. So, read on to find out how to complete the Operation Starseed quest in Starfield.
Operation Starseed Walkthrough
Operation Starseed is one of the Starfield side quests that will not affect the plot or the factions’ attitude toward you. However, you need to complete it because, in addition to the new outfit, Credits, and XP, you will be able to find a new companion, Amelia Earhart. Moreover, players will be able to learn a rather interesting history of the inhabitants of a distant planet.
So, to start Operation Starseed, you need to visit a planet called Charybdis III in the Charybdis system. It’s quite far away, so you will need a powerful Grav Drive with a minimum speed of 22 Light Years. Once you reach the planet, you must land in the Crucible to begin the side quest.
Speak With Each of the Leaders
The first person you will meet will be Tobias, the robotic assistant. He will ask you to leave, but after a short conversation, he will let you through, calling you an Outsider. During this, you will also meet Ada Lovelace. From her, you can find out that the community is going through difficult times now, and perhaps you are the one who can solve all this. Your next step in Operation Starseed quest is to meet with the three leaders in The Crucible.
Franklin Roosevelt
As you can guess, this is indeed one of the US presidents. Although, to be more precise, his clone. Franklin will tell you that everyone in this place is a clone of famous people from the past. And even if they die, which seems to happen often due to conflicts, the robots clone them again.
Although decades have passed, the community still does not know the reason for their “eternal life.” Therefore, each of the three leaders wants to strengthen power with your help. In the case of Franklin, he and his Pragmatist Society believe that it is too early for these people to leave the planet since their ambitions from past lives can lead to violence. Therefore, they should learn to live without robots and manage their lives.
Queen Amanirenas
Amanirenas was once the Queen of Kush. She clearly remembers the distant times of her power and greatness. For this reason, she believes that the people of Crucible are worthy of traveling among the stars.
Genghis Khan
Due to his past, he is the most militant of the Leaders. Even on your first encounter, you will have to fight off several enemies before you can talk with him. Unlike the Queen, he is not proud of past achievements. Instead, he considers himself a human and not a clone. The goal of Genghis Khan and his society is to escape from the prison called Crucible. And they will do anything for this.
Find and Check the Facility
After talking with each of the Leaders, you need to return to Franklin to find out the location of The Facility. It is the place where the robots come from, and which seems to have broken down a long time ago. It is located almost on the other end of the planet, so you have to use your ship to fly there to progress in the Operation Starseed quest in Starfield.
Upon arrival, you will find that the entire building has turned into a nest of Hunting Maggotmaws and Hunting Spaceroach. Therefore, these enemies will come at you quite often. Fortunately, you just need to follow the marker on the screen to find 7 Text Logs telling about the fate of the clones living in the Facility.
After this, return to the Crucible and give the information you found to one of the Leaders. It will not affect the quest in any way, so you can choose anyone you want. It is also a good time to complete Secret Live. To do this, find Wyatt Earp in the cave and find out what he wants from you.
Get the Facility’s Override Code in Starfield
Your next target in the Operation Starseed quest is the Datacore of the Facility. But to get there, you need an Override Code. To do this, talk to Ada Lovelace, who will give you a hint of where to look for the Code. However, it is worth noting that you will have to upgrade your ship a little since you will have to reach quite distant systems in Starfield.
First, you will be directed to Bel System, where you will find a Navigation Beacon indicating the location of the Beagle Ship. Unfortunately, it is 27 Light Years away, so as we said, you need a decent ship. Once in the system, you can dock the Beagle and look for Code. But be careful; security systems will be waiting for you inside. Finally, find the Code and return to the Crucible to complete another part of the Operation Starseed quest in Starfield.
Attend Meeting with Crucible Leaders
While you were away, Genghis Khan began to threaten other Leaders to join him. In this conflict, you have to choose one side. However, this will have consequences for Operation Starseed quest:
- By choosing Franklin or Amanirenas, you will have to kill Genghis Khan.
- After joining Genghis Khan, you will have to kill two other leaders.
It is a fairly important decision but will not affect your next steps. Also, you can loot the outfit of your victims after.
Choose the Crucible Fate in Starfield
After a slightly aggressive encounter, find Ada Lovelace to decrypt the Override Code. Then, return to the Facility and use the Code to get to the Datacore. Be careful, as there will be many hostile clones and robots on your way. Finally, once you reach the Datacore, you can decide the fate of all the clones and complete the Operation Starseed quest in Starfield:
- Reboot and restore current Mission parameters – You will leave everything as it is. The clones will be locked in the Crucible, and the “Mission” will continue. For this, you will receive 3000 Credits.
- Reboot and choose a new Super-Admin – You will give all Control to one of the Leaders, namely the one you supported during the last meeting. It would allow them to sort out all their problems themselves or escape if they helped Genghis Khan. For this choice, you will receive 6000 Credits.
- Initiate Full Project Cleanse – This choice is the worst because you will kill all the clones, including Amelia Earhart, who can become your companion after completing the quest. Your reward for such a choice will be 2000 Credits.
That’s all you need to know about how to complete Operation Starseed in Starfield. It is a rather unusual quest in which you will meet famous people from the Earth’s past. And by following our advice, you will help the people of the Crucible. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to get a Sniper Rifle.
