A Florida woman is calling out her neighbor after accusing her of repeatedly provoking and harassing her dog, then using the animal’s reaction as an excuse to continue antagonizing it.
Angela (@angelatoktrends) says her dog, Lily, has been targeted several times by the neighbor. In a series of TikTok videos, she claims the woman can be seen yelling at Lily, spraying her with a hose, and even hitting her through the fence. After watching the behavior continue, Angela eventually confronted her neighbor on camera and demanded that she leave the dog alone.
Angela starts recording her dog barking at the neighbor after the neighbor stuck things through the fence to hit the dog and sprayed her with water. The entire time, Lily is jumping up at the fence and reacting angrily to the neighbor after being antagonized. Angela explains to the neighbor that she needs to leave her dog alone. Lily is clearly behind a fence and on her own property, so she questions why it’s a problem what her dog does in her own yard. She tells the neighbor, “You stop bothering her, and she’ll stop bothering you.”
After the first video, Angela shared another instance of the neighbor being cruel to Lily and provoking her over the fence. You can see the neighbor taking a long rake and hitting Lily forcefully with it. Lily angrily bites at it and tries to reach the top of the fence to defend herself. Angela forcefully tells the neighbor, “Stop hitting my dog.” Then she calms down Lily and walks her back to the house to safety, away from the neighbor. She stands on her porch and tells her audience, “Yeah, that’s what I deal with.”
Commenters immediately reacted to Angela’s video, with many taking her side after witnessing how the neighbor acts. One commenter pointed out, “Dog is only aggressive because it’s being taunted.” Another commenter added, “Sticking a weapon past the property line to harm an animal is a felony BTW.”
However, others took the side of the neighbor, believing there’s more to the story. She’s an irresponsible dog owner, which is very clear.
