There are a bunch of mercenaries in the MWZ mode, which is a new thing in Call of Duty‘s Zombies experience. However, these people won’t help you fight the undead. They actually want you to join them! It can be pretty annoying when someone third parties your boss fights and helps the zombie instead of the living ones. Now with the Storm The Castle MW3 Zombies tier 3 mission, you can give these people a much-needed payback by storming their main military base in MWZ Urzikestan map and stealing Strauss’s Research.
What Are The Objectives of The Storm The Castle MW3 Zombies Mission?
- Clear a Mercenary Camp.
- Clear a Mercenary Stronghold.
- Kill The Leader and steal Strauss’s Research item.
These objectives work as a series of tasks. First, you need to attack a Mercenary Camp, which is easily found around the map. The image below shows a Mercenary Camp on the map.
Once there, take down the enemy’s Counter-UAV first. Then, attack those troops by all means; be it throwing a Molotov on their head, or shooting them with a superpowerful pack-a-punched weapon.
If you search the camp, you’ll definitely find a Mercenary Stronghold Keycard, which leads directly to your second objective. The image below shows where you need to storm next.
This is a Mercenary Stronghold in MWZ, not to be mistaken with the Infested Strongholds. You need to use your keycard to open its door, and then kill all the mercs inside to clear the second objective of Storm The Castle mission in MW3 Zombies. Be careful though, as there’ll be a lot of mercs inside this building, and many of them wield a riot shield. The best you can do is to bring as much lethal equipment like the Semtax grenades and Molotov with you before raiding the stronghold.
Once you clear the building, look for a safe that’s usually held on the upper floors. Drill it open, and defend it from the attacking mercs. If you hold a heavy weapon or a launcher, shoot their helo before they drop the troops. Inside the safe, you’ll find another keycard for the Fortress, and the hardest part of the mission begins.
Where To Find Strauss’s Research in MW3 Zombies?
You can find Strauss’s Research by defeating the Warlord in MWZ. The Warlord, also known as the Legacy, is the main boss of the Legacy Fortress you can see in the image above. This location always remains the same, so gear up, level up your weapons, and get ready for a big gunfight.
When you get there, you’ll spot many sentry guns. too many mercs guarding the camp, and an annoying chopper gunner that shoots you even through the walls! So let’s deal with the chopper first and shoot it down from outside the fort.
Then, head inside and find the door that looks like the image above. Use the Fortress Keycard, and face the new riot shield enemies inside. There are a lot of traps, trophy systems, and different enemies inside this building, so it’s best to have a Death Perception perk so that you can see them through walls. Clear the building to the top, and you’ll reach the final part of Storm The Castle mission in MW3 Zombies.
The Warlord is the boss waiting for you on the top floor. He has a Haymaker Dragon’s Breath shotgun, which can deal a ton of damage. Breacher Drones are probably the best way to kill the Warlord in MWZ, and once you manage to defeat this boss, he’ll drop you the Strauss’s Research item. Picking the item will mark your mission as complete, so you won’t even need to exfil to complete the Storm The Castle mission in MW3 Zombies.
