Boasting sunglasses and a hat with a flower on it, Gustafa is hard to miss. He’s a free-spirited person used to traveling, but he happened to land in the Valley. Just your luck too since he’s a potential marriage candidate in the game. Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life features numerous romance options, and as you must choose one to continue the game, why not the hippie?
In Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life, Gustafa resides in a little yurt. He’s happy to speak to you and receive your gifts if he’s not playing his guitar. He doesn’t have too wild of a schedule around Forgotten Valley. So, you can find Gustafa and keep track of him with ease:
- 10:00 AM: Wakes up
- 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM: Either hanging around the trees behind Lei-Over Inn or playing his guitar by his yurt
- 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM: Walking the path and playing his guitar in the Forest
- 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM: Walks the Forest Path back to his yurt
- 9:00 PM to Midnight: In his yurt until he goes to sleep
The weather is the only thing that can change Gustafa’s schedule in Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life. He’s more prone to staying in his yurt if it’s rainy.
Gifts are always a sure way to win over any bachelor or bachelorette in Story of Seasons. Gustafa is no different. He’s not picky about presents. Get him any of the following, and he’ll appreciate it:

Gustafa Heart Events in Story of Seasons
If you want to marry Gustafa in Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life, heart events can help. All of the marriage candidates have them. They’re cute cutscenes that add more to the story and let you increase your heart level with them. Keep track of Gustafa’s affection in his diary located inside his yurt.
You only need around five hearts for him to accept your proposal with the Blue Feather you receive in summer. Also, if you don’t propose by the deadline on Winter Day 10, Gustafa becomes a marriage candidate choice when Takakura approaches to speak with you.
Completing every Gustafa heart event in Story of Seasons is worth it. If you achieve all of them, you hear his entire song:
- Level 1 (2 Heart Levels): In the spring, on a clear day, leave your farmhouse around 6:00 AM and find him outside his yurt
- Level 2 (4 Heart Levels): Visit Gustafa’s yurt in the summer from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Level 3 (6 Heart Levels): Exit your farmhouse after 1:00 PM in the fall
- Level 4 (8 Heart Levels): In winter, head to the Inn after 7:00 PM to see Gustafa enter the Bluebird Cafe
Gustafa will play a song for you during each heart event. If you reach the end, you get the joy of hearing the piece in its entirety. Later, you can propose and enjoy a musical marriage with him.
