To unlock the Horse in Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life, all you have to do is play the game until Spring 1, Year 1. Takakura will come to your farm with a Horse in tow as a gift. He will then ask you to guess which color it is. Do note that this is actually the moment when you pick the color of your Horse. There are three colors that you can choose and it’s permanent because there is no way to change it:
- Black
- White
- Brown
Decide on the color of your Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life‘s Horse. Then you will have to place its feeding through in the Barn. Thus, as expected, when not being ridden, Horse practically works just like Cows and other Barn livestock. It takes up a Barn slot, has to be fed with Fodder, and will head out with the rest of your animals when called. Don’t forget to Brush it regularly too to keep your Horse happy and healthy.
As mentioned above, after unlocking the Horse in Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life, you can mount it. Ride it to get around the Valley faster and jump over obstacles quickly. To mount the Horse, stand beside it until the Talk prompt changes to Ride, then press the A button or Enter key.
You can also quickly summon and ride your Horse by using the RB+X button or P+E keys on the keyboard for the Call Horse option. The screen will fade to black and you are now instantly on horseback. However, if your Horse is asleep then you can’t mount it in Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life. Nevertheless, using the Call Horse shortcut will wake it and you will instantly ride it.
