Prepare to set sail for an unforgettable journey about life and death. Announced in a trailer for Gamescom 2020, Lost at Sea is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC, and Studio Fizbin (The Inner World, Minute Of Islands) is working together with HeadUp Games to bring it to life.

At the heart of it, Lost at Sea is all about life:

Set on a beautiful island, where every biome represents a phase of life, you will explore your surroundings and solve riddles to reclaim your memories, while the fear of death is hunting you, trying to take you to the other side before you have tasted life. In the end, this is a game about the things you want to remember, the things you wish for and life as a whole. What are the most important moments of your life?

Lost at Sea shows Studio Fizbin exploring new mechanics with “first-person gameplay, free exploration and for the first time ever in their games, imminent danger.” Thoughtful puzzles and mini-games will allow players to dig deeper into the narrative as they explore the themes of life and death on the island.

As of this writing, there is no official word on a release window for Lost at Sea.

Gamescom 2020 starts Thursday, August 27th and will run through Sunday, August 30th. Virtual sign-ups are still open, and the event will kick-off with a live opening night event hosted by the great Geoff Keighley! For more info on Gamescom or the kick-off event, check out their website.
