TV’s most hated fictional family is returning on March 26. HBO has released the official teaser trailer for Succession season 4 (seen below). Coming off the explosive third outing, the characters are divided into two teams for power. The footage prepares fans for the drama and humor to come along as these people tear each other apart.
A peek at the aftermath shows everyone playing their cards. The kids – Roman (Kieran Culkin), Kendall (Jeremy Strong), and Shiv (Sarah Snook) – plan out what they are going to do to take power away from their father, Logan (Brian Cox). Some don’t believe they will defeat the all-powerful patriarch, like Gerri (J. Smith-Cameron) warning the kids. Others are siding with Logan, particularly Tom (Matthew Macfayden), betraying his wife, Shiv, for his professional safety net.
Other stars returning will include Nicholas Braun (Greg), Peter Friedman (Frank), Alan Ruck (Connor), Arian Moayed (Stewy), Juliana Canfield (Jess), Annabelle Dexter-Jones (Noami), and Dagmara Dominczyk (Karolina). Previous guests will return, like Alexander Skarsgård (Lukas Mattson) and Cherry Jones (Nan Pierce).
Previously HBO had shown some footage of Succession season 4 with a shorter teaser trailer last year. It had given the spring 2023 window, but fans were not sure if it would be this early. Thankfully, fans will not have to wait too much longer before the show returns.
HBO releases Succession season 4 trailer with premiere date
The premiere date works in HBO’s favor. The premium cabler and its streaming service are currently going through its adaption of the PS3 video game The Last of Us with Game of Thrones alums Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. This trailer for Succession season 4 gears up the platform for its next major release for the year to keep that momentum.
It may not have the viewership of The Last of Us or House of the Dragon, but the drama comedy has become a flagship series on the platform. When it comes to award seasons, it always sweeps, as it currently holds 13 Emmys with 48 nominations.
You can catch up to get ready for Succession season 4 by March 26 by watching the series on HBO Max.
