Lindsay Hubbard and Danielle Olivera’s friendship is now on the rocks, and fans are unhappy about it. Since Bravo’s reality series Summer House premiered in 2017, the show has proved to be a huge hit. Besides the drama the housemates created over the last six seasons, the unique friendship between cast mates Lindsay Hubbard and Danielle Olivera has also proved to be a significant highlight for the series. Lindsay, who has been on the show since it kicked off in 2017, met Danielle when she joined the Summer House cast in season 2. Since then, the two became inseparable, and their close friendship earned them many admirers amongst the series’ loyal fanbase.
Over the years, the two showcased the classic traits of a strong friendship — loyalty, support, and understanding — and when required, they even gang up to fight other housemates. One such case was when the duo shaded their Summer House housemate Ciara Miller during their February 2022 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Before their appearance on the show, Danielle and Ciara had an explosive fight in season 6 of Summer House.
While their friendship has mostly been a joy to watch, fans started questioning some of their antics in 2022. The concerned viewers called out Danielle for enabling Lindsay’s bad behavior on the show. However, despite the mild criticisms aimed at the pair, Danielle and Lindsay finished season 6 strongly. Nonetheless, fans noticed that cracks began to appear in their friendship during the off-season.
Season 7 teases friction between Danielle and Lindsay
Fans of Summer House first began to notice cracks within the ranks of the former partners in crime when Danielle stayed quiet after Lindsay and Carl Radke got engaged in August 2022. Later in October, the duo hinted about possible trouble in paradise when they tagged their friendship status as “unfortunate” at the series’ BravoCon panel.
Still, despite the uncertainties and various fan theories, the trailer for the upcoming season 7, released on January 12, teased the breakdown in the duo’s friendship. In the promo, fans watched the pair constantly disagreeing about Lindsay’s relationship with her fiance Carl. Coincidentally, Danielle had dated Carl in the past. The promo also captured several other heated moments between the former best friends. It was a heartbreaking watch for many fans as every scene that featured the duo saw them at loggerheads.
Danielle and Lindsay’s Deteriorating Friendship Saddens Summer House Fans
After watching the friendship between Lindsay and Danielle peak in previous seasons of Summer House, fans of the reality are heartbroken at the state of their favorites’ relationship. The trailer showed that things completely broke down between Lindsay and Danielle, with the latter eventually aligning with Paige DeSorbo, Mya Allen, Ciara Miller, and two of the new cast members. Lindsay, on her part, also has a bone to pick with some other housemates.
Meanwhile, the deteriorating friendship between Lindsay and Danielle has become a primary concern for most of the viewers of the show. Many of them cannot believe the untenable state of their favorites’ relationship, and many hope they can reignite their friendship at some point. A Reddit user, u/artandmimosas noted:
“I watched the SH trailer today and was sad to see a glimpse of how Danielle and Lindsay’s friendship ends. You could tell their friendship wasn’t just for the cameras, so it saddens me to see the other girls on the show just relishing the friendship’s demise. Am I the only one sad to see this friendship end? Out of all the women in the cast, their friendship appeared authentic.”
Meanwhile, other Summer House fans also commented on the issue, and there was a general disappointment in how the friendship ended. Still, many could not help but point at Lindsay’s flawed attitude, given none of the housemates actually liked her. However, Summer House fans loved watching the two together on the show, and it is difficult for most to accept their rift. It is obvious that Lindsay is not pleased with the way Danielle constantly questions her relationship with Carl. However, any hope of a reconciliation between them hinges on Danielle finally making peace with Lindsay and Carl being together.
