Publisher Headup has announced that indie first-person shooter Industria is coming to PC.
Industria is influenced by David Lynch’s work and style. The game combines these elements with the first-person shooter genre. Set in East Berlin at the time of the Cold War, you play as Nora. After receiving an ominous farewell message from her friend, Walter, Nora decides to seek him out and find him. Considering he has disappeared in a secret research facility, the journey is dangerous and full of strange events.
Industria promises a profound story, tense and surreal atmosphere, unique setting, and an experimental soundtrack. The trailer certainly exudes these qualities. It contains striking imagery coupled with combat against a variety of autonomous robots. As you travel deeper into the research facility, the intensification of danger can only be matched by the escalation of horrible insights into the situation.
Industria is a passion project of the only two members of indie game developer Bleakmill: David and Steve. The two started out creating mods for games like Half-Life 2, Portal, and Counter-Strike: Source. They eventually started work on Industria, creating models that are entirely original for the game. The soundtrack is composed by Lukas Zepf, David’s friend and roommate. Character animations were developed by Ben Davis.
Headup is an incredibly successful and respected game publishing and developing company. Some of their biggest games include Dead Cells, The Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy, and Limbo. The list goes on.
Industria is set to release on PC in Q1 2021. You can add the title to your Steam wishlist today!
