The vast Sword Art Online universe features several great protagonists and supporting characters, each with unique abilities. Also, in the SAO video games, some characters only appeared in one of the installments to support Kirito. Fortunately, the Fractured Daydream roster started with around 20 known fighters, a few from previous games and others from the anime, even from the spinoff GGO. So, in Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, gamers can play with their favorite character or choose one of this tier list that best suits their game style.
Rank S
- Kirito
The fact that Kirito is in this position can be very cliche, as he is the main character of almost all SAO. Although he adapts magnificently with his rapid chained combos for close-range combat, he will eliminate the distance from the enemies. Kirito is ideal for single-target but will not be disadvantaged against waves of enemies because of his AOE. This is a balanced character and the best character to start with. - Agil
Surprisingly, this master blacksmith, despite being a Tank, his attacks feel fast and light. In addition, his heavy attacks are handy for taking out multiple enemies simultaneously. His taunt skills and crow control will keep minions or normal enemies on the ground. - Argo
If you prefer to use rogue or ninja because you can hide and make deadly attacks, Argo is ideal for you. Argo has a very good hiding technique for gathering information, but her fast attacks and excellent mobility put her in this rank. - Yuuki
Yuuki is famous for the speed of her rapier attacks, and she is no different in this universe. In Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, this character combines her fast-paced sword attacks and Attacks to debuff enemies, putting her high on this list. However, you must be careful because her Awakening temporarily lowers her HP. - Leafa
Leafa is an excellent Healer, but despite being a Support, she stands out for her great mobility because of her ability to fly and her aerial attacks.
Rank A
- Sinon
This sniper has very accurate and powerful attacks, but you need to keep a lot of distance from enemies. Sinon relies heavily on Charged Attacks with her rifle to make the most of her DMG. - Asuna
Asuna deserves this spot in this tier list. She focuses on single-target due to her precise and fast swordplay. So, she is ideal for dealing with the strongest bosses in the game. - Fukaziroh
This bombardier is a box of surprises with different types of bullets, mainly to deal with AoE, sweep hordes of enemies, or even heal your comrades. - Alice
Alice is another excellent Tank with heavy strikes, but she stands out much more for her Light damage and for boosting her skills with her Awakening. However, she feels a heavier unit to play compared to Agile. - Eiji
If you are looking for a skilled swordsman who gives you much freedom and mobility, Eiji focuses on high-speed chained attacks and Wind elemental damage. - Eugeo
Thanks to Eugeo’s ice element, he is one of the best characters to stun enemies. Eugeo can freeze and damage the surrounding enemies by summoning ice lances or using his ice sword.
Rank B
- Sterben
Death Gun has a kit similar to Sinon’s with a powerful sniper rifle; he also requires long-range and accurate shots. So Sterben can do more damage, especially with his Awakening, which marks enemies. Sadly, he doesn’t do as much DMG as Sinon. - Quinella
Administrator is a skilled swordswoman, but as a Mage her most incredible skills involve using her Dark-element spells. But if all this is not enough, Quinella also flies, and in your epic battles, she can summon a Sword Golem. Quinella’s AoE is beneficial, although there are characters with higher DMG in Fractured Daydream. - Oberon
Continuing with powerful Mages, Oberon stands out for his AoE binding and damaging spells, which are very handy for crowd control. In addition, thanks to his wings, he has greater mobility and flying ability. However, his skills are not as useful as those of other mages. - Heathcliff
Heathcliff is an ideal Tank to taunt enemies, but the trick is that the more enemies he taunts, the better the boost he gets. With the ideal build, he can become a great DPS, but he is not easy to use initially. - Yuna
The healing idol is a great Support that can revive her companions and boost their power with a concert. Yuna can also do a lot of DMG with her sound waves, although her attacks can be a bit slow. - Yui
Combining her magic with close-range combat, this fairy is the best of both worlds. She will debuff the enemy’s foes with her Spells or heal her friends. However, your whole strategy can change when she becomes a small fairy after her Awakening, which might be a downside for some people. - Llenn
This gunslinger is excellent for mid-range combat with great mobility; you must shoot and move away so enemies don’t reach you. All GGO characters depend on keeping their distance, so sometimes it can be tricky with so many enemies running towards you.
Rank C
- Lisbeth
She is a great sledgehammer and shield warrior, ideal for stunning enemies, but she also provides terrific buffs. Lisbet also has Electric attacks. Although her moves are slow, so you need to calculate your timing well. - Klein
Klein’s best ability is his Awakening, which allows him to switch between four stances with different buffs, such as healing or getting defensive skills. Sadly, there are more characters who do more DMG. - Silica
The dynamic duo of Pina and Silica is one of the best combinations, with the dragon healing the party while Silica does damage with her daggers and Elemental attacks. It is a balanced and easy-to-use unit. However, other party members perform better than Silica regarding DMG or Support.
Remember how you manage your character and your builds will affect the fight’s outcome in Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. So take the opportunity to raid or search each level to get the best items. Use those with buffs on them, and don’t just look at the level of your weapon or jewelry.
