Sydney Sweeney earmarked her status as a Hollywood bombshell last month, but photos of her in a plunging dress at the Toronto International Film Festival only saw her shamed. Slipping her curves into a sleek black look as she accepted IMDb’s Fan Favourite STARmeter Award, the 26-year-old put on a busty display, one seemingly a bit too revealing for users on The Daily Mail.
When the outlet’s fans reacted to the photos, some tormented Sydney for going eye-popping, with one making an industry reference as they suggested that she was showing her “Golden Globes.” Sydney, who once told GQ that her body doesn’t “define” her, appeared to have her physique as the center point for most of the comments, although some fans did praise the star for being natural.
Sydney Sweeney Shows Off Glam Dress In Toronto
Flaunting her hourglass figure as she went eye-popping, Sydney kept her look elegant while modeling a form-fitting black dress with short cap sleeves.
Opting for a sweetheart neckline with a low cut, The White Lotus star flashed her toned waistline while rocking a perfect blow-out, showing off her light locks worn down as she kept glam with warming makeup. Sharing the photos to Instagram and gaining over 4 million likes for them, Sydney wore pink cheek blush and a lined lip, keeping her cosmetics matte as she both blew fans a kiss and posed in video mode.
Fans didn’t seem in the mood to flatter the actress.
Getting Told Body Is ‘All She’s Got’
Slamming Sydney, one fan replied: “The only thing this girl has is a good body. She can’t act and her face is meh.” The comment echoes a major headline Sydney made earlier this year when producer Carol Baum said that Sweeney isn’t “pretty” and “can’t act.”
“She knows exactly why she’s famous and is using them while they last. Good for her, I say,” another said, going more positive but nonetheless reducing the star to her figure.
Noting that actress Ana de Armas had also featured in the photos, a further user replied: “I think that she took the name of the Golden Globes party a bit too literally with that outfit. Still did not outshine Ana De Armas though.” Ana and Sydney had joined forces while in Toronto to play Recommendation Roulette with Vanity Fair.
Sydney may be judged for showing off her figure, but the actress is having the last laugh. With brand deals including Miu Miu, Jimmy Choo, Samsung, Armani Beauty, and Bai Drinks, she’s fast proving the most bankable star in Hollywood.
Sydney also boasts an impressive Instagram following of 22.5 million. Celebrity followers include costar Alexandra Daddario, plus singers Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato.
