Taylor Swift has no shortage of famous friends. Her inner circle includes megastars such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Selena Gomez, and many more. The singer is known for her celebrity crew of pals and is often seen spending time with them on social media and hitting the town with her posse. However, fans recently called out one member of Swift’s friend group, Sabrina Carpenter, when they felt like she may have betrayed the singer’s friendship.
According to The Daily Mail, Carpenter recently posed for a risqué lingerie ad campaign for Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand. As the Swifties all know, Kardashian and Swift have some serious bad blood between them. The feud stems back to the reality star’s ex-husband, Kanye West. The feud has escalated and died off during the years. However, it seems clear that there is still no love lost between the two fan-favorite celebs.
Taylor Swift Fans Debate Sabrina Carpenter’s Skims Campaign
Recently, Sabrina Carpenter joined Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour. She’s also been seen taking in Travis Kelce‘s Kansas City Chiefs games with the singer. So, when she teamed up with Kim Kardashian, many fans weren’t happy. “How she gonna open for Taylor Swift then work for Kim Kardashian,” one person said. “The Swiftie universe has glitched,” another said.
However, Swift didn’t seem to be bothered by Carpenter’s latest business venture. In addition, other fans pointed out that many of the singer’s other friends have also worked with Kardashian’s brand. Selena Gomez and Brittany Mahomes have both teamed up with Skims in the past.
“If Taylor doesn’t mind Selena and Lana [Del Ray] advertising for Kim’s brand or Gigi Hadid being friends with the Kardashians, I think she shouldn’t mind Sabrina either because Taylor is an adult and mature woman unlike her fans, that is just an excuse to cancel Sabrina again,” one commenter declared.
For now, there doesn’t appear to be any drama between Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter. The two stars are both businesswomen who likely understand that business and friendship are two very different things.
