Stepping out in NYC, the 34-year-old ditched attending boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s game for a restaurant meal with her catwalk queen pal, and talk on Instagram quickly turned to her style.
Displaying her long legs in a cute checkered miniskirt and crop top, Taylor wowed in high heels as she and Gigi hit up SoHo’s fancy The Corner Store eatery, but for some, the singer was trying too hard. Users on Instagram likened Taylor to someone “trying to be a schoolgirl,” with one fan deeming her outfit “childish.” Tay-Tay may have gotten slammed, but given that she’s rumored to have been paid millions to step out in Gucci with NFL beau Travis recently, she likely doesn’t care about fan opinions.

Injecting fall accents into her look, Taylor modeled a leggy checkered miniskirt in earthy tones.
Adding a tight black crop top in black and a statement leather belt, the “Fortnight” singer flashed her toned tummy while looking confident, with the paparazzi photos showing her accompanied by 29-year-old Gigi.
Teaming her red, brown, and tan skirt with an ankle pair of lace-up boots in snakeskin patterns, Taylor carried a purse, looking every inch the style queen as she wore her light locks down. The Grammy winner opted for curled locks, also sticking to her signature red lipstick finish as she wore a full face of makeup.
Told Outfit ‘Childish’ And Aiming For ‘Schoolgirl’
Users weren’t too kind, and it’s worth bearing in mind that these comments come from Taylor Swift fan accounts on Instagram.
“Is she trying to look like a schoolgirl? It’s not working,” one fan replied. “The skirt is childish but I love taylor,” another wrote. Also sending the thumbs-down was a user replying:
“She’s a fabulous girl, musician, businesswoman, pop icon, role model. I absolutely love her but she needs a new stylist.” Meanwhile, on The Daily Mail, fans honed in on the billionaire’s hair, with one fan replying: “Someone fix Taylor’s hair!!! It’s like she hasn’t even combed it… half kinked, half straight with a moppy fringe. It looks horrible.”
Taylor continues to make headlines for the immense success of her The Eras Tour, 2024-released The Tortured Poets Department album, plus her ongoing romance with athlete Travis.
Some are even hoping that Taylor and Travis will get married and start a family. No ring yet, though.
