Taylor Swift received mixed feedback to her latest look, one she donned to support boyfriend Travis Kelce at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium this week. Injecting Western vibes into her outfit, the 34-year-old displayed her lean legs in a teeny pair of washed Daisy Dukes and embellished cowboy boots, and she didn’t take long to make headlines.
When The Daily Mail reported that Taylor had basically ditched Democratic candidate Kamala Harris after showing her support, fans commented on the situation, but others remarked on the singer’s fashion choice. Thinking that her look was way too young for someone approaching their mid-thirties, one fan gained likes for saying that Taylor is “dressing like a 16-year-old.” Meanwhile, fan accounts on Instagram broke down every aspect of her outfit, one that included a Dior saddle bag retailing for over $5,000.
Taylor Swifts Turns Heads In Shorts While Supporting Travis Kelce
Walking into the stadium and with the cameras chasing her around, Taylor looked confident in her $150 black shorts. Going high-waisted and belted, the pop star added a tight black top and leather jacket, one bearing the Kansas City logo.
Going vintage with her jacket and designer with her purse, Taylor added height to her frame via her knee-high cowboy boots, going high-end in the Santia Pointed Toe Knee High Boot from designer Christian Louboutin. The “Blank Space” hitmaker also wore her light locks down, keeping glam with matte makeup and her signature red lipstick finish.
Fans always seem to find something to pick apart when it comes to Taylor’s looks.
Told She’s ‘Dressing’ Like She’s ’16’
Over 300 fans agreed when one user said: “Taylor Swift is 34 and dresses like a 16 year old.” The fan added that Swift would look “more attractive if she dressed her age.”
Managing to body-shame the superstar, another replied: “She is becoming a bit chunky too. Boots and shorts are not a good look with thick thighs.” Taylor had made headlines during her Miss Americana documentary for opening up on her past eating disorder struggles.
Fashion seems to be big business for Taylor in 2024. While the star is one of the rare few in her caliber not to be fronting a major designer, she was assumed to be paid “millions” earlier this year for stepping out in Gucci.
In September, Swift joined NFL player Travis for a date night in NYC, where she turned heads for going leggy in a monogrammed minidress shouting out the Italian brand.
Swift, has, in the past, fronted brands including Diet Coke. The star has a net worth of $1.3 billion.
