Taylor Swift was supposed to bring her Eras Tour to Vienna this week. However, the singer was forced to cancel her shows after authorities uncovered an alleged terror plot targeting concertgoers. Naturally, Austrian Swifties have been feeling a mix of emotions since learning about the news. While they’re grateful the shows were canceled for the sake of everyone’s safety, they also can’t help but feel upset over missing the Eras Tour. One Taylor Swift fan in particular is experiencing a huge financial loss over the cancelations.
According to Business Insider, a 33-year-old Taylor Swift fan named Kayla had traveled from Los Angeles to Vienna to attend the Eras Tour. Apart from spending 24 hours traveling to catch the singer in concert, she had also splurged over $5,000 on the trip. The expenses included the cost of the tickets, flights, accomodations, and more. Kayla had been looking forward to Swift’s Vienna concerts for months. So, when she heard the shows were no longer happening, she was left in disbelief.
“I felt my whole body go numb. I could not believe it was real,” Kayla said about reading the news. “She’s hardly ever canceled a show in her career.”
While she’s upset over the cancelations, Kayla can’t help but think of how Swift could be feeling right now. “I’m sure this is devastating for her as well,” she said.
Taylor Swift Fans Show Concern For Singer After Canceled Vienna Concerts
Countless other Taylor Swift fans are wondering the same thing. Thankfully, Swift has her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s support during this difficult time. According to The Sun, the Kansas City Chiefs star immediately reached out to her after hearing about the alleged terror plot. An insider told the publication:
Travis contacted Taylor very fast and talked with her for a while to show support and see how she was feeling with that tense situation.
The source claimed that Kelce did “everything to make her feel better.” He even suggested flying out to Austra to comfort the singer. However, Swift supposedly declined his offer. “Taylor is going to keep working and focus on the next dates [of her tour],” the insider explained.
Swift is set to resume her Eras Tour in England. She’ll perform at Wembley Stadium from Aug. 15 to Aug. 20. Afterward, she’ll bring her tour back to North America for shows in the United States and Canada.
