Taylor Swift is getting hit hard as comments to her latest date night look roll in. The singer, 34, stepped out in a ’70s-style minidress last weekend, showing off her figure and her romance as she enjoyed another evening with NFL player boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Having already made Friday night headlines for her double date with actress Blake Lively and the 37-year-old’s husband Ryan Reynolds, Taylor toned things down a little with a more intimate him-and-her night, but she didn’t tone down her style. Showing off her killer legs in a gold velour dress and black platform heels, the Grammy winner hit up Torrisi restaurant in NYC, and nobody was talking about the destination. Taylor wound up slammed for her style, with the comments manifesting on both The Daily Mail and an Instagram account dedicated to the pop star’s outfits.
Taylor Swift Shows Off Gold Minidress On NYC Date Night
Modeling a two-piece-effect minidress from Annie’s Ibiza, Taylor ditched the heavyweight fashion brands for the small, London-based studio supporting emerging labels.
Flaunting her long legs and slim waist, the “Blank Space” hitmaker rocked a fitted bodice with a bustier finish, adding in a matching and slightly floaty miniskirt. Choosing crushed velvet in a gold-green shade, Taylor turned heads with her retro style, going sleeveless and a little low-cut as she held Travis’ hand.
Keeping summery in her skimpy look, Taylor further channeled her love of throwback style via her black platform slides, choosing the Versace Aevitas Platform Mules as she completed her look with a Roberto Cavalli Snake purse. Taylor accessorized her ensemble with layered gold necklaces and matching bangles, also wearing her blonde locks down, plus a warming face of makeup.
Own Fans Are Saying It’s Awful
Over 800 fans agreed when a Daily Mail user said: “That might be the ugliest thing I’ve seen Taylor wear. She looks like a potato wrapped in tin foil about to get into the oven or like a Christmas ornament. It looks very cheap.”
“What a truly awful dress. She has such a poor sense of style,” another wrote. Meanwhile, the fan feed filled with Swifties also struggled to send the outfit love.
“Her consistent, really poor style in an odd way makes her more likable,” one user said. When a fan wrote: “It’s not gonna be my favorite outfit she wore..,” over 500 others agreed. Taylor’s style has been making headlines non-stop as she continues to rock Gucci.
Following her monogrammed Gucci date night look last month, the singer wore another Gucci look for her soiree with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, this time modeling a plunging corset dress once donned by singer Miley Cyrus.
