Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce couldn’t be any cuter. On Friday, June 21, the couple surprised fans by showing off their love for each other during the singer’s latest Eras Tour concert. While performing “So High School,” Swift referenced the NFL star by doing one of his iconic football moves live on stage. Naturally, Kelce couldn’t help but gush after seeing his girlfriend adorably mimic him.
Swift was strutting around the stage at Wembley Stadium when she paused to give Kelce a surprise shoutout. Since he was in the crowd that night, the songstress let her boyfriend know she was thinking about him by doing his signature victory pose. The move involves drawing back an invisible bow and arrow. While it could be seen as a nod to Swift’s Lover track “The Archer,” in this case, it appeared to be a reference to the athlete.
Why? Well, Kelce has done the pose countless times after scoring a touchdown. His team, the Kansas City Chiefs, is also known for playing at Arrowhead Stadium. As if that wasn’t enough, Swift pulled out the move during “So High School.” The track, which is featured on Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, is highly speculated to be about her relationship with Kelce.
After the song dropped in April, fans thought they found several easter eggs toward the football player throughout its lyrics. For example, they interpreted the line about Swift’s boyfriend knowing “how to ball” as a nod to his career in the NFL.
However, the most convincing sign that Swift was shouting out her boyfriend with the archer pose was Kelce’s reaction. A fan shared a photo of the Kansas City Chiefs star smiling after appearing to recognize the move.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are seriously couple goals.
